Our Story in Brief
Introducing "My Buddy & Me - Normalising Grief & Loss and Learning Resilience," a heartwarming children's book by retired Australian Counsellor Jane Oakley-Lohm. This insightful book empowers young readers to understand and navigate their feelings around loss and grief, promoting resilience and-discovery.
Children can acknowledge, accept, and nurture their emotions in a supportive environment. It's a valuable resource for families seeking to foster healthy conversations about grief and help children find happiness after.
Jane's online training looks at these two areas through a different perspective. Both come with Janes visual tools she has developed and used in her counselling and training practice for over 20 years.
Janes expertise in this area is from managing a grief and loss project in Central Australia which covered the health region of one million square kilometers. The project looked at the cultures and religions in this vast area. What is grief and loss for the people, do they have tools to still manage, are the tools still accessible today, if not what do they need? Recommendations were submitted to the Northern Territory Government and La Trobe University of Melbourne.
